Terms of Service

These terms govern access to and use of the Veyatia platform for real-time, AI-assisted language interpretation.

v0.9Last updated August 2026

1. Acceptance of these Terms

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Veyatia platform — applications, websites, and services for real-time, AI-assisted language interpretation (the “Service”). By creating an account, checking an acceptance box presented with these Terms, or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you use the Service on behalf of an organization, that organization’s written agreement with Veyatia (for example a services agreement, Business Associate Agreement, or student-data agreement) governs where it conflicts with these Terms.

2. What the Service is

Veyatia provides real-time, AI-assisted interpretation and translation for spoken conversations — over the phone, in the browser, and in person — together with related features such as live transcripts, session summaries, and escalation to your own human interpreters. The Service is provided to organizations (healthcare, education, and other sectors) and used by their authorized staff.

3. Intended use and the role of AI

The Service uses artificial intelligence to transcribe, translate, and voice speech. AI interpretation is designed to augment — not replace — your organization’s qualified interpreter program and professional judgment. Your organization decides when a qualified human interpreter is required by its policies or by applicable law (for example, clinical, legal, or consent-related encounters), and the Service provides built-in escalation to reach your own interpreters.

You are responsible for exercising professional judgment when acting on interpreted content. If an interpretation seems unclear or the situation is high-stakes, use the escalation feature or engage a qualified human interpreter.

4. AI-generated content

Transcripts, translations, and session summaries are generated by AI and may contain errors, omissions, or mistranslations. They are drafts provided for use under the review of a qualified professional. Do not forward AI-generated summaries to patients, families, or other end recipients without appropriate professional review, where your organization’s policies or applicable law require it.

5. Accounts

You must provide accurate information when creating an account and keep your credentials confidential. You are responsible for activity under your account. Accounts are provisioned through your organization; your organization’s administrators can suspend or remove access.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to use the Service to:

  • place telemarketing, robocall, or other unsolicited automated calls;
  • violate any applicable law, including communications and privacy laws;
  • record or monitor communications without legally required consent;
  • attempt to probe, reverse engineer, or disrupt the Service or its models;
  • impersonate another person or misrepresent who is speaking on a call.

8. Data handling

Our data practices are described in the Privacy Policy. In short: the Service is designed around data minimization — we process call audio in real time to provide interpretation, retain as little as necessary to operate the Service, apply redaction to reduce sensitive content at rest, and do not use your organization’s call content to train foundation models. Where the Service is used with protected health information or student records, the organization-level agreement (e.g., BAA or student-data agreement) governs that data.

9. No emergency services

The Service is not a substitute for emergency services and does not support emergency calling (such as 911). In an emergency, use a phone or service capable of contacting emergency services directly.

10. Intellectual property

Veyatia and its licensors own the Service, including software, models, and branding. Your organization retains ownership of its data. You receive a limited, revocable, non-transferable right to use the Service in accordance with these Terms and your organization’s agreement.

11. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available.” To the maximum extent permitted by law, Veyatia disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including accuracy of interpretation, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Veyatia’s aggregate liability arising out of or relating to the Service is limited to the amounts paid by your organization for the Service in the twelve months preceding the claim. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.

12. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate access for breach of these Terms, misuse of the Service, or where required by law. Your organization’s administrators may also remove your access at any time. Sections that by their nature should survive (including intellectual property, disclaimers, and limitation of liability) survive termination.

13. Governing law and dispute resolution

Where your organization has a signed agreement with Veyatia, the governing law, venue, and dispute-resolution provisions of that agreement control. Absent such terms, the parties will first attempt to resolve any dispute informally by contacting legal@veyatia.com before pursuing other remedies. Nothing here waives any right or protection that cannot be waived under applicable law.

14. Precedence, assignment, and severability

If these Terms conflict with your organization’s signed agreement (including any BAA or student-data agreement), that agreement prevails for the subject matter it covers. You may not assign your rights under these Terms without our consent; we may assign them in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets. If any provision is held unenforceable, the remaining provisions stay in effect, and our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. Neither party is responsible for delays or failures caused by events beyond its reasonable control.

15. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Each version is identified by a version number and effective date at the top of this page. For material changes we will provide notice — for example, at sign-in — and may require re-acceptance. Continued use after the effective date of a revised version constitutes acceptance of that version.
